The goal is to highlight “local products and traditional regional recipes” in a “relaxed atmosphere that reflects the Alentejo identity.”
Starting May 23, Horta da Moura, a rural tourism property of the Wotels group, will begin serving an Alentejo-style brunch, which will be offered every Saturday from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.
The menu features appetizers such as pork trotters, gizzards, scrambled eggs with farinheira sausage and/or asparagus, grilled sausages, pork ears, chickpeas with cod, and fava beans. Main courses include options like black pork cheeks, roast lamb, dogfish soup, and Alentejo-style fried dogfish with migas.
To round out this Alentejo-style brunch, Horta da Moura offers several desserts: the most traditional is the classic Sericaia, but there’s also Bread Pudding, Chocolate Mousse, Roasted Quince, and Farófias. Reservations can be made by calling (+351) 962 287 093.
