At the Horta da Moura rural hotel in Alqueva, one can relax in the shade of ancient olive trees

The first rural hotel in the Alentejo region is now thriving, after being closed for five and a half years, on the banks of the Alqueva lake. Its white houses framed in blue are cool, shaded by plane trees, fruit trees and historic olive trees, and convey the local hospitality tradition.
